These extensions add extra support to the mattress that extends past the base cabinet, while also creating air flow under the mattress preventing mold and mildew from forming. These are built from one piece of 3/4" Baltic Birch plywood, sanded and sealed with 3 coats of Lacquer. The side and bottom edges can also be covered in laminate to match your specific Airstreams interior finish for an additional cost.
